LAST DAY OF SCHOOL ASSEMBLY:9:30-10:15

This assembly is intended to be a space to wish all of our students well over the summer, and to say goodbye to those who are moving on to middle school and high school.

In an effort to preserve the opportunity for all to view the 5th and 8th grade slide shows, that will be the focus of the assembly.  There will also be a song or two presented by K/1.

I am guessing that the assembly will be about 45 minutes long, but that will depend upon the length of the slide shows.

RECYCLING WONDERS AND SUPERKIDS MATERIALS: ACTION

Schools may recycle Wonders and Superkids materials from teachers who will be transitioning fully to Fishtank next school year. If materials are recycled, we recommend keeping student readers, as they may be valuable additions to classroom libraries and can provide students with additional reading options.

When recycling materials, please work with your custodian to determine the most effective process for your school.  *** Jim has asked that you box materials, clearly label them for recycling, place them in an accessible location, and repeat this process slowly over time rather than in one large group.***

SUMMER PD OPPORTUNITY: HELPFUL

If any of the equity and social justice focused instructional work we did with Dr. Sanchez spoke to you, I encourage you to enroll in the summer assembly of the R.I.S.E network. This is an opportunity to learn with teachers in our area and to help support the learning of other teachers in a truly supportive and enriching environment.  Additionally, it is a great way to earn STEM and equity hours!  It’s free, and you will receive a $50 stipend if you are able to attend both days.  Please let me know if you have questions, or would like to talk further about this opportunity.

TWIG SCIENCE UPDATE:HELPFUL

On July 30, 2026, Imagine Learning will make improvements to the login and account management system for Twig Science. All current data such as custom assessments, assignments, classes, student enrollments, and educator accounts will be archived and inaccessible in the Twig Science platform.

Because Shoreline uses ClassLink to log in, nothing should change for rostering students and teachers and logging in.

Teachers in grades 3-5 will be notified of how to save any customized materials they have created in the TWIG platform via this email notification.

HICAP UPDATE: ACTION

UPDATED LISTS of ELIGIBLE STUDENTS FOR 26-27 - AVAILABLE NOW!

To help you with your planning for next year, the Highly Capable Department has updated the master spreadsheet of eligible students for the 26-27 school year.

School Rosters can found on the HiCap Staff Portal

  • Please make note of those students who have NO PARENTAL CONSENT in Column “L”

  • Until the HiCap office receives parental consent, that student cannot receive hi-cap services.

  • Consent forms can be found on the HiCap Staff Portal

  • NOTE: These lists are live and will reflect changes as students are identified during the summer testing session. Make sure to check your school spreadsheet again at the end of August and in September for updated lists of students eligible for services or class placements.
