COMMUNITY MEETING SIGN UP: ACTION

This is an opportunity to highlight for families the powerful instruction I get to see every day here at Cascade K-8.

K-5 MATH LEADS: ACTION

There is still time to become a math lead if you are interested.  I received more information regarding the topics of study, so I am including the latest information here for your consideration.  You will also see which colleagues from other schools you would get to work with should you decide to do so!

We’re planning to start our Math Leads after we return from break and will be reaching out to the math leads you identified early next week.

The training dates and topics are as follows.

  • 1/16 - Examining a Unit of Study and Number Corner

  • 2/27-  Differentiation

  • 4/10 - Student Discourse or Assessment

In addition, we’ll be scheduling 2-3 half-days and after school sessions to provide time for Math Leads to prepare to support your schools.

A list of math leads can be found here.

STAFF  HOLIDAY GET TOGETHER: HELPFUL

We get to gather in Edmonds again for our holiday get together!  A big shout out to Ginny (one of our regular guest teachers) and Kelly for helping us secure the space again.  We will, once again, include a white elephant gift exchange in the evening’s festivities.  If you want to participate, bring a “gift” to share. Please remember, this should be something you want to re-gift, something that is truly a “gift”, or (if you choose to buy something new) should be under $20.

We get to use the clubhouse at the Point Edwards Condominiums in Edmonds.  Here is the address:

Point Edwards Clubhouse
