 It was a fun evening at the Bite of Cascade and ArtFest last night!  A big thank you to Fergus and the students for putting together such a beautiful show.  The students and families were so proud of the work, and Fergus made it happen!!  Thanks, Fergus!!  It sounds like the plant sale was also a huge success.  Thanks to Tamara and Mac for working with Lisa Taylor to make this such a fun event.  Please pay special attention to the calendar in the coming weeks.  Lots going on.  Here we go!

K-5- Camp Sing-a-long with Lisa Taylor after 2nd recess.  Meet students outside as usual, but come to the paws (north side of the building, arrival area) instead of going into class. Lisa plans on going through camp songs until about 2:20.

PRIDE LESSONS: HELPFUL

Staff members at Highland Terrace developed a set of elementary lessons and activities to acknowledge Pride Month and were willing to share them with other schools (Thank you HT!!!). The Pride Month Lessons are organized by grade level and week. Additional communication for families will be shared as we get closer to June 1. We’ll also be working in the fall to review and update lessons that can be used for BLM in schools and Pride month.



FILM SCREENING: HELPFUL

A She Marches in Chinatown Film Screening and Q and A with Director, Dell Chen, and SW Alum and featured Cast Member Colleen McKisson will be held on May 28 from 7 - 8:30 p.m. at the Shorewood High School Theater. Please see  this flyer for more information (flyer is also shown below).



AANHPI Celebration: HELPFUL

​Our annual collaboration with the City of Shoreline, Shoreline Community College and Shoreline School District is happening on 5/22/24 at the SCC Theater.  There will be food trucks, info tables and fabulous performances including TAIKO!  Please join us in celebrating!  Flyer here.

Schools are required to document whether an interpreter is requested and provided for 1) IEP meetings and 2) reengagement meetings following an exclusionary plan. For every IEP meeting or reengagement meeting with a multilingual family, OFFICE MANAGERS will complete each field on your buildings tab on this spreadsheet. See District Policy 4218 for details about this requirement.
